How to Start a League:
4th Quarter Touchdown Football is
a great game for league play
at Super Bowl parties, football parties, card parties,
game clubs, sports bars, etc. The game is designed
so that all players have an equal chance of winning,
even if players don't know alot about football.
In League play, start by printing the "TEAM PLAY
SCHEDULE" from the chart on the right, for the
number of teams you have (4, 8, 12 or 32). Then print
the "TEAM STANDING SHEET" and add your team
names into the chart next to numbers. Use the "TEAM
STANDING SHEET" to track your wins and losses
record for the league. Then follow the play schedule
as outlined on the "TEAM PLAY SCHEDULE SHEET".
You're now on your way to the 4th Quarter Touchdown
Football Championship!
4 Team
Play Example:
Please note that in team play, two players represents
a team.
Begin by selecting team names. See
example: "4
Team Play Schedule Example" (pdf).
Example: 4 teams (team 1,2,3,4)
1 vs. 2, 3 vs. 4
2 vs. 4, 1 vs. 3
4 vs. 1, 2 vs. 3
As each team plays the game schedule,
keep track of your scores, wins and losses using the
"4
Team Standing Sheet Example" (pdf).
Once each team has played every other team, tally
up the wins and losses and determine the top two teams.
Then the top two teams play against each other to
determine the overall winner.
Just imagine. If
you get 32 teams together every Sunday, you
could pick your favorite football team and play the
pro football schedule. Keep track of your scores,
wins and losses, and your team could make it to the
playoffs and win the 4th QUARTER BOWL.
